Atlantic Challenge Canada will host The International Contest of Seamanship in Midland, ON. Teams from throughout the world will participate in a multi-event seamanship competition from July 24t...h through to the 31st. The competition will make use of replica 18th Century Longboats that can either be rowed or sailed with a crew of 13. The participants in this event will be 15 years of age and up. The visiting crews will be housed locally in Midland, and will have time to explore and experience the local area. Please come down to the Midland Town Dock and support the youth.  We will be opening up our Event Tent to the Public on Friday July 23rd from 7:30PM to 10:30PM and again from 1:00PM to 5:30PM onn Saturday the 25th, and Sunday the 26th.  there will be live music on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.   Cold Beer and Cider will be for sale at these times! Live music in the Event Tent has been arranged by Stelllula Music who will also be presenting a Public Concert and Barbecue on Thursday July 29th at 5:00PM at the International Event Tent, and a closing concert on Saturday July 31 at 8:00PM.  The closing concert will be located on Elizabeth Street near the Library.  Please refer to our Schedule of Events or the Stellula website below for band information. http://midland2010.atlanticchallenge.ca more
